How to play
- Tap any square to start — the first tap is always safe.
- A number shows how many mines touch that square (including diagonals).
- Use the numbers to work out where the mines must be.
- Flag suspected mines with the flag mode toggle.
- Clear every safe square to win. Tap a mine and it's game over.
Tips to win
- Start from the corners and edges — fewer neighbors means easier logic.
- A '1' touching exactly one unopened square? That square is a mine. Flag it and move on.
- The 1-2-1 pattern along a wall means the mines sit under the 1s, never the 2.
- When a number already touches its full count of flags, every other neighbor is safe to open.
- Guess only as a last resort — and if you must, pick the square touching the lowest numbers.
FAQ
Is the first tap ever a mine?
No — the board is generated so your first tap is always safe. Start anywhere.
How do I flag mines on a phone?
Use the flag toggle button to switch between digging and flagging — no long-press needed.
Is Minesweeper luck or logic?
Almost pure logic. Well-played boards are solved without guessing, except for rare 50/50 endgames.
