Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
PlayerGames is built to be played. We collect the bare minimum needed to run online matches and show a leaderboard — nothing more. This page explains exactly what we do and don't collect.
What we never ask for
- Your phone number, address, or location.
- Access to contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- Third-party tracking pixels or social SDKs on the website.
What stays on your device
- Game preferences (sound on/off, vibration on/off, last difficulty).
- Local stats — per-game win/loss/draw counts (visible on the stats page).
- Active tournament progress while you're playing a Championship.
All of this is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your
device. Clear your browser data to wipe it.
What we store online (for online play and leaderboards)
When you play your first online match, we create an anonymous account so we can record results to the leaderboard. We store:
- A randomly-generated user ID (a UUID — not tied to any personal info).
- The display name and avatar emoji you chose locally.
- XP, level, and match history for the leaderboard.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple (optional, used to sync progress across devices), we also store the email address provided by that sign-in. We never receive your password — Google and Apple handle that.
Online data is stored on Supabase (database) and served via Cloudflare (CDN). Both are reputable providers with their own privacy practices.
What our hosting provider sees
When you visit PlayerGames, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) sees standard web server access information: your IP address, the page you requested, your browser type, and the referring URL. This is used to deliver the page and detect abuse, not to profile you. Logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Real-time online play
When you play an online match, your move data flows directly between your device and your opponent's device via WebRTC (peer-to-peer). We use the public PeerJS broker only to help the two devices find each other — game data itself does not pass through our servers.
If we add ads or analytics later
The mobile apps (when launched) may include analytics and contextual ads from industry-standard providers (e.g., Firebase Analytics, AppLovin MAX, Google AdMob). We will update this page before any such SDK ships, and the apps will offer a one-tap Remove Ads option as well as the consent flows required by GDPR / CCPA.
Children
PlayerGames is designed to be family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your online account and all associated match history at any time — email us at the address below. To delete on-device data, use your browser's "Clear site data" option.
